Family Therapy
Support for Families
Families often reach out for therapy when communication breaks down or conflict starts to feel overwhelming. Family therapy offers a space to repair relationships, build understanding, and strengthen connection.
Therapists work with parents and their adult children, siblings, in-laws, and members of blended families to explore patterns, improve communication, and create more supportive and respectful relationships. Every family is unique, and therapy is tailored to meet your specific needs and goals.
what to expect
The process begins with a free 15-minute phone call to learn more about your interest in therapy, who will be attending, and to answer any initial questions. If it feels like a good fit, each participating family member is invited to complete online paperwork through a secure client portal.
Sessions can take place in person, online, or a combination of both. The first session focuses on gathering family history and setting goals together. Based on your family’s needs, future sessions may include different groupings—such as parent-child, siblings, or the whole family.
Time is taken to get to know each person involved. This helps build trust, understand individual experiences, and lay the foundation for meaningful work together in family therapy.
approach
In family therapy, the therapist supports the family as a whole—not just one individual. The focus is on creating shared goals, improving communication, and finding new ways to strengthen relationships.
Therapists provide a welcoming space where each person can feel heard, understood, and valued. Using a collaborative and strengths-based approach, therapy draws from a variety of effective models to meet your family’s unique needs. The work is designed to empower everyone involved and help your family navigate challenges with more clarity, connection, and confidence.
